Chemical Engineering PhD Alum Named 2011 DuPont Young Professor

LaShanda James Korley (PhD ’05) was one of 18 professors from around the world named 2011 DuPont Young Professors. The DuPont Young Professor program, is designed to provide start-up assistance to promising young and untenured research faculty working in areas of interest to DuPont’s long-term business.  Each young professor will receive $75,000 in three annual grants of $25,000, or its equivalent in relevant currency.  The grants may be used to obtain matching funds through the National Science Foundation or other organizations.
