New ODGE Assistant Dean Jason McKnight

Jason McKnight

The ODGE is pleased to announce that Jason McKnight has joined the office as Assistant Dean for Graduate Education as of Tuesday, September 6, 2011. In this role, Jason will devote most of his time to providing assistance and support in the form of advice and referral to graduate students, faculty and department administrators. Additionally, he will serve as a liaison to offices and departments that work closely with graduate students, and he will contribute to graduate student centered activities and programs. Jason will work closely with Senior Associate Dean Blanche Staton.

Jason brings 10 years of impressive experience in higher education and a Master’s degree in Education specializing in college student personnel administration. The past 4 years have been at MIT, where Jason’s passion for working with students and commitment to improving the quality of their experience have been demonstrated through his work in developing cross-departmental programming in the areas of leadership and violence prevention, and in his engagement in crisis prevention and management, especially as a Dean-on-Call. Jason has served as a Residence Life Associate for Graduate Students since 2007 and as Director of the Westgate community which is a residential community of graduate families.
