Come hear established women speak about secrets of their professional and personal success at the GWAMIT Spring Empowerment Conference, taking place from Thursday, April 10th to the 17th, 2014, in the Stata Center and Student Center. The opening keynote will feature Debora Spar, author and President of Barnard College, speaking about “Wonder Women: Sex, Power, and The Quest for Perfection.” Mentoring discussion will include Eve Marder of Brandeis University and Kay Tye of MIT; they will discuss the keys to finding great mentors, as well as the secrets to becoming one yourself. Judy Shen-Filerman, CEO of Dreambridge Partners, will speak about becoming a storyteller of your best self. Ruha Benjamin of Boston University will conclude the event with the closing keynote, a talk entitled, “Playing the game or hacking the system: A talk and discussion on subverting systems of power.” Register for the event online.
