This series highlights the work of MIT’s MLK, Jr. Visiting Scholars and Professors. The next luncheon seminar in this series is on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2014 from 12:00pm to 1:30pm in MIT Room E51-372. Lunch will be served. If you wish to attend, please RSVP to Shauna Bush-Fenty at email@example.com. Julio D’Arcy (chemical engineering) will speak about Strong Energy in Plastics. Julio D’Arcy received his Ph.D in Chemistry at UCLA in June 2012. His areas of expertise are conjugated polymers, electrochemistry, and thin film composite devices with a particular interest in energy applications. As an MLK Visiting Scholar he will work closely with Professor Paula Hammond’s research group in the Department of Chemical Engineering. He will be the new assistant professor of chemistry at Washington University in St. Louis beginning summer 2014.
