What sparked your interest in your current field, and what do you love about it?
I love the multidisciplinary nature of computer science! In my specific area, it’s common to see collaborations with psychologists, neuroscientists and cognitive scientists working toward understanding both human and machine intelligence. The joint work is awesome!
Personal research summary
I work in the field of artificial intelligence. I love the idea of computational models that are inspired by the human mind. There are so many things humans can do so easily, like learning language as a child and rapidly processing the massive amount of visual input we get. I want machines that can do these amazing visual and linguistics tasks too.
I play pick-up lacrosse and participate in MIT’s gymnastics team.
