ISO-staff

Congratulations to the International Students Office!

The International Students Office (ISO), part of the Office of the Dean of Graduate Education (ODGE) was selected to receive a 2013 MIT Infinite Mile Award.  These awards recognize exceptional individual employees or teams of employees who have made extraordinary contributions within their own departments, labs, and centers and have provided exemplary service and substantial contributions in helping the Institute carry out its mission.  The ISO staff being recognized includes Maria Brennan (Assistant Director), Antoinette Browne (Administrative Assistant), Aurora Brule (International Student Advisor), Emily Cheng (Technical Support Specialist), Carlene Green-Paul (Administrative Assistant), Danielle Guichard-Ashbrook (Director), Sylvia Hiestand (International Student Advisor), Janka Moss (International Student Advisor), Mayoka Takamori (Advisor for Visiting Students), and Joycelyn Thompson (Administrative Assistant).  International students depend on the ISO for orientation, help with visa issues, work permission, documents for travel or family members, and just to talk about the important things in their lives.  ISO staff always make themselves available to provide caring and specialized personal support, advising and mentoring to international students — in fact, they find it the most rewarding part of their job.  Congratulations to the ISO for a job extraordinarily well done!
