I am from the twin island of Trinidad and Tobago, studying at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. I am a Chemical Engineering major and Mathematics minor, and my research at Arkansas is concerned with the modeling and optimization of the hydrogenation step during the conversion of algae to butanol, which can be used as an alternative fuel. My research project this summer involves the image analysis of various types of clay microstructures to better predict subsurface transport processes such as hydrocarbon migration. During my free time I love playing tennis, dancing and visiting my beautiful home country for frequent visits to the beach.
