I was born in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico and moved to the neighboring city of El Paso, Texas to study mechanical engineering at the University of Texas, El Paso. I have been involved with research in both powder metallurgy and tissue engineering throughout my undergraduate career. When I am not studying or playing around with materials, I love playing violin, guitar, ukulele, drums, and pretty much anything you can make music with. My current goal is going to attend graduate school to pursue a PhD in Bioengineering to develop affordable regenerative materials or diagnostic techniques.
